Justice System Not Post-Racial By A Longshot

Apparently African-Americans and other Minorities can still expect to get insane judgements and penalties from the court system for being perceived as “uppity”. I am not saying the African-American woman in question was right in skipping line. But the fact it got so out of hand and that she may face 15 years for the incident that ensued is mind boggling. This smacks of the days of Jim Crow when Blacks could be lynched for “reckless eyeballin”.

Obama may never be able to ask for reparations, ( which in my opinion is the right of all descendants of Africans in the Western hemisphere ). But if he could check this biased court system somehow that would go a very long way. Or at least make it equally harsh, and asinine for all races. I believe as soon as everyone started catching hell for every infraction, ( the way African-Americans always have) the court system would miraculously change overnight. ( Just a Theory).

Verizon Set to Pass on Warnings for RIAA

Author: admin  |  Category: Are You Serious?, Around Your World, For The Streets, That's Gangsta

It has begun. Telcos and ISPs are slowly but surely caving in to the wishes of RIAA and MPAA. Not because they care but because the would be forced to actually deliver on what they advertise and sell.

If you get dsl is dedicated based on speed not throughput. All the telcos are complaining that a few files traders are hogging the network. Uh so. If the other people on the network are fine with it why should the company care? Because file trading makes it hard for them to oversell their already over capacity networks. They are just greedy. So they will use RIAA and MPAA as a smoke screen to get heavy users off their networks so they can go out and sell more services to people that they have no intention of delivering on.

What will happen is independent ISPs will start sprouting up again, because of existing rules on monopolies. And the cycle will begin anew.

Chin Checking The FEDERAL RESERVE

Author: admin  |  Category: Around Your World, For The Streets, That's Gangsta

It’s about time someone saw through the smoke and mirrors. The Fed leaders Greenspan and Bernake are partly to blame for the current crisis. Bernake is now being seen as some guru who can get us back out of it. He better it’s his job. Your suppose to do well at your job.

The Fed for too long has manipulated the economy into bust cycles rarely out of them. They usually ride the wave up, throw a bone to the market here and there (in the form of rate cuts), but are usually lobbying for more powers and control of the economy. The institution is QUASI-FEDERAL not a Federal Branch of Government like most people assume, and therein lies the problem. It is has many private interests, controlling public funds and opinions.

Creepy Robots

Author: admin  |  Category: Around Your World

It seems science fiction movies& books has 3 major themes for the demise of humanity:

1) Robots and machines become sentient and decide that we are not worthy of existence or turn us into duracells.

2) Zombies become the next stage of evolution, and only a few survivors fight hordes of the undead everyday, and become psychopaths themselves in the process.

3) Aliens invade and take over our planet and resources enslaving us.

Right now robots are winning! More after the link, from Huffington Post>>

Anti-piracy Measures Coming To An ISP Near You

Author: admin  |  Category: Are You Serious?, Around Your World, That's Gangsta

It seems anti-piracy measures sought by copyright associations may be getting some traction. In France they have just enacted a 3 strike law which would be a warnings, disruption of internet access and prosecution to combat piracy. It seems that no legislation has been written in any of these agreements to address or protect fair use. They may be starting with copyrighted materials now, but if “they” have their way it may not be too long before most forms of information is regulated and you would have to pay a “nominal fee” to get access to anything. Get ready for the Nickel and Diming.

In the U.S. may ISP and telcos have started capping bandwidth and “shaping” network traffic to deal with the bandwidth hogs downloading movies. The new ACTA act may force all signers to adopt a French like 3 strikes law.
